No news is good news!

Most folks are curious if now that hubby is home, perhaps there is a baby on the way? Nope. Sorry to disappoint you. But, we are busy nowadays with a different new addition. The hubster thought it would be a great idea to get a Giant Alaskan Malamute puppy. Do you remember when your mom told you, "If you can't say something nice....don't say anything at all" ? Moving right along.

We are happy to have the man of the house home. Makes things a bit less stressful sharing the burden with another person in the house. Jesus isn't taking a back seat though, folks. He's still my number one! I have been tested and really learning first hand about some Bible study topics I've been meditating on. Joy is one of them! Oh my, learning to be joyful in situations where you'd rather throw in the towel, give someone a piece of your mind, etc! When I think of all the times Jesus didn't lose his joy and purpose, it helps me to keep on going.

Had a nice white Christmas here in Alaska - our second winter. We have to decide by our second year mark here (September) whether or not we want to pack it up to wherever they need hubby or plug in another 3 years in Alaska, which would likely finish up hubby's Army career.

Kids are doing great. They seem to enjoy the puppy, some a little more enthusiastic than others at 3o or 40 below when it comes time to take pup outside for potty time. Em and Zoe are still taking piano lessons and doing well. Rachie just started learning about the violin and we are looking forward to the day she plays. There will be much joyful noise in the house!

While 'no news is good news', there is always THE good news of the Bible.

Proverbs 25:25
[As] cold waters to a thirsty soul, so [is] good news from a far country.
