Welcome Home, Daddy!

We had a fabulous time with our hero daddy home for his R&R. He looks great! He has lost weight and getting fit. He was pretty smitten with little O man, but enjoyed all his little munchkins.
The budgeting has been going so well, that I managed to set aside enough to cover our trip to Anchorage and then some! I also splurged a little on myself with birthday money - a few new skirts and tops, some books, that type of thing. Oh, and a cool alarm clock that will arrive tomorrow. It's a "wake- up light" by Phillips designed to get brighter gradually to wake up more naturally. I think it will help me considerably here in the Alaskan Interior!

Daddy and Mommy even got away for a couple of days sans kids thanks to some wonderful folks who cared for them in our absence.

Now we are all a bit bored and bummed with daddy gone, but alas, we have sickness to keep us busy. I am on meds for strep throat and little O man is croupy and running a fever. Em has been a great help. We did one day of school last week after hero man left, so back into the swing of things tomorrow. We will be out of our funk soon and into fall/winter mode - baking, decorating, and bundling up!
The weather is getting colder and snow showers are in the forecast for this week.
Oh - yes, I finished the skirt that I began months back. Goal accomplished!
