April Post

It's very likely I will only make one post this month, hence the title! I always mean to update more often, but time slips away. The spring season is here, which means melting snow during the day and the melted stuff freezing again overnight - makes for slush or icy roads! We had some snow again yesterday.

All of the kiddos are still sick - a round of fevers for all but mommy and Owen. On a positive note, I have lost about 15 pounds, so my goal for the year is well under weigh, I mean way ;)

We are trying to wrap up the school year by the end of May, but definitely by mid-June. We got behind during the move and with all the sickness we are now catching up! I'm already looking at curriculum for next year. We'll have a 6th grader, 3rd grader, 1st grader, and K! Should be interesting when Owen will be old enough to be zipping around the house upright while I try to teach the girls!

Speaking of Owen, I finally had enough of torturing myself by waking up in the night with him once or twice and it only took one night of him crying to get him where he should be- sleeping all night! Of course, last night he decided a week of doing perfectly was enough and he wanted to jazz things up by waking up at 4 a.m. He's so thoughtful!

Adding three more goals for this year, nothing too lofty:

Continue reading my Bible daily and journaling
Sew something! (Hoping for at least one skirt for Emmali)
Exercise at least a few times a week. I have not started yet, but I will.

I am looking at curriculum as well. I cant decide what to use. I have used Rod and Staff for the past three years but, I am feeling like I want to change it up next year ( tho I am not sure why) I cant decide tho.
I will have a 4th, a 2nd a k and a two year old :)

Kristy - You'll be plenty busy too! :)
I'm sticking with Abeka for the lower grades. Using Saxon though for the 6th and 3rd, Apologia for 6th Science, Language and Bible Abeka video ( I think) and searching for a good History curriculum for 6th grade. Have fun researching.
