Our house is mostly settled now. My van is now in the garage - so that means we organized it enough to have room for the van. Some stuff will just have to wait until we can tackle it each weekend. The kids are doing well with their schooling and piano. In case you were wondering (because I did when I DIDN'T live in Alaska) at this time of year the sun rises at about 10 a.m. and sets around 3:00 p.m. And just because the sun is "out" doesn't mean you can baske in the rays :( Some things ARE more expensive here ( I am talking grocery&restaurants) but not the huge price gouging I was expecting. THAT took place in the mountains in the middle of nowhere on our drive to Alaska.
I can't speak for heating or electric and that sort of thing. Gas is about $3.45 - $3.55 currently.
Now we prepare ourselves for Christmas. I am not as organized this year, so likely there will not be a family photo and I will be doing good if I get Christmas cards mailed out!
Isaiah 26:3 Thou wilt keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on thee:because he trusteth in thee.
That verse has really been a help to me lately. In this busyness of traveling and moving in, sometimes my eyes fall on the many things to unpack and daily life in general and by the time the day is done I realize I am exhausted, stressed, and doubting Him and that is not a good thing! Thank God for his mercy and guidance!
