I made ours a bacon cheeseburger salad :)
4 sesame seed hamburger bun tops
1 small red onion, divided (1/2 for chopping and 1/2 for dicing)
2 plum tomatoes
1 lb. lean ground beef (they say 3/4 lb)
1/2 cup finely diced pickles
3/4 cup ketchup
1 Tbsp mustard
8 cups thinly sliced lettuce (nice for presentation or if you have it..I used bagged butter lettuce mix)
1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
5 strips cooked and crispy turkey bacon (I added this)
2 tbsp barbeque sauce (I added this)
Brown beef in skillet. Rinse and drain; set aside.
Dice onion and slice tomatoes.
Finely dice pickles.
Combine chopped onion, pickles, mustard, ketchup, bbq sauce, and beef in medium bowl.
Arrange lettuce on serving platter. ( Used a bowl here)
Spoon beef mixture over lettuce. Top with cheese, bacon, tomatoes, and sliced onion.
Toast hamburger bun tops, slice and cut into desired size and toss on top of salad.
Enjoy!
